The stories that change us
As this year comes to a close, I’ve been spending time reflecting on the power of stories and how deeply they change people.
I know this to be true because I am forever changed by the stories I am trusted to tell.
I was just having this conversation with Jason Plotkin (another storyteller who I am proud to know) recently about how we are the lucky ones, the people on the ground who get to meet the most incredible humans and build bonds with people who leave you a better person than you were before you met them.
I’ve always been a relationship person. The most meaningful work has never come from just a cold business transaction, but from truly knowing the people behind the work.
Marketing is personal. For me, It always has been. Behind every campaign, every headline, every video, there is a human being who chose courage and allowed themselves to be seen.
Getting to know your brand champions, listening to their journey, and being invited into their lives as a true partner is an honor I hold with great care.
As a speaker, telling these stories inspires others far beyond your imagination. There is no greater power than being able to positively impact someone else with your words, move them to change and fuel real empathy in a time when the world needs it the most.
Stories build connection. They create trust. They remind us why the work matters when the days get long and the job gets hard.
As we head into a new year, I’m deeply grateful for the people who have shared their stories with me in 2025, and for the client relationships that make my work feel meaningful, valuable, and important.
Bring on 2026!
